Creamy Avocado Basil Sauce

Travis is well known in our family as a human dumpster for pasta. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, it really doesn’t matter, if pasta is an option, he’ll probably take it. With that in mind, we’ve started experimenting with sauces we can use to change things up, other than his standard marinara. We had some left over avocado and basil in our fridge the other night, and thought it might make for a decent quasi-pesto. Right we were!




Creamy Avocado Basil Sauce

Ingredients
  1. 2 Avocados, scooped
  2. 4 cloves Garlic
  3. 1/2 cup Basil
  4. 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
  5. Juice of one lemon
  6. Salt and Pepper, to taste
Instructions
  1. This one is super easy-- add all the ingredients to a food processor and process until smooth.
Notes
  1. This is great served over some roasted vegetables and gluten free spaghetti.
